I made it into the Xbox Live Beta program and today, I received my headset and two game: ReVolt and NFL Fever 2003. Even with just these two games to test, I have to say that Xbox live is pretty damn cool! I am so glad that I made it into the Beta program because now, my Gamer Tag is 'Vo Man'. I would hate to have been 'Vo-Man24' since each Gamer Tag has to be unique. Yay!

This weekend, Kristen and I bought ourselves a PIMP-ASS washer and dryer set; the Kenmore Elite HE3T series front-loading washer and dryer. It is top of the line, #1 rated, and VERY energy efficient. This is state-of-the-art stuff baby. It does everything but walk our dogs. Of course, we don't have any dogs. First the leather sofa, now the washer and dryer. Yikes.

I am so totally stoked! I always liked Val Kilmer but he hasn't made a good movie in a while. When I saw the previews for The Salton Sea in the theaters, I wanted to watch it but never got around to it. Thus, I was really excited when I saw that it was released on DVD. I was really hoping that it would be a good movie and you know what? It is friggin' great!

I haven't seen a movie this good in a long time! There are a few scenes that just kicked so much ass. Reminded me of good Quentin Tarantino. I can't stress enough that all of you go out and immediately rent The Salton Sea. Damn, I am so happy. This movie is in my top ten list now.

Alright, I know I haven't updated in a LONG time. I apologize. I have been pretty busy (translated=lazy). Here are some pictures from my unofficial and official karaoke parties.

I don't care what anyone says, Van Wilder is a frickin' funny movie. I was scared that it was going to be this dumb college-type flick that would bore the crap out of me and waste 1.5 hours of my life. It isn't as funny as Revenge of the Nerds, but Van Wilder holds it own. Ryan Renolds pretty much carries this movie, he is brilliant. As soon as Sorority Boys is released on DVD, I will be having a double feature. Tee Hee.

For some strange reason, I love to watch teen movies. Crap like Can't Hardly Wait and She's All That makes me laugh. I guess I'm hoping that I will one day find some movies that make me feel the way I do when I watch the classic films from the 80s like Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, and Weird Science.

Anyway, The New Guy isn't very original, but it still cracked me up. Eddie Griffin rules, and when he and DJ Qualls break out the "Crazy Eye", I just fall down laughing. I mean, how can you not laugh at someone who looks as goofy as DJ Qualls? Who didn't laugh during his Riverdance scene in Road Trip? As an added bonus, you get to see Eliza Dushku in various swimsuits. That was the best part of the movie. She is so damn hot. I want to have her baby.

Just finished watching the first Lord of the Rings movie. I loved it in the theaters and I love it on DVD. However, I'm not going to talk about the plot and stuff. Instead, I will talk about the video and audio quality, which are both excellent. The transfer is very detailed and clean and although it looked great on my TV, it pales in comparison to the audio quality. Holy shit!

This DVD has the BEST Dolby Digital mix I have ever heard on DVD. The surrounds are constantly alive and the channel separations are excellent. Very clean sounding with no distortion or muddiness. The real star though, is the LFE track; the bass just kicked so much ass. This movie has so much bass and goes SO LOW that my couch was pretty much massaging me during the action sequences.

I actually prefer to watch movies at home because it sounds better than most theaters I have been to. I shit you not. I have a kick-ass system that is calibrated very well. Even so, I have always wanted a second subwoofer but never truly needed it. I can now say that I NEED that second subwoofer, if only to watch The Fellowship of the Rings to its full potential! All you people with your puny BOSE systems...I laugh at you.

I loves me the Ahnuld. Unfortunately, he doesn't make movies like Commando and Predator anymore. He doesn't even make movies like True Lies anymore. Instead, we get shit like Jingle All The Way and Junior. I can say however, that Collateral Damage is enjoyable. Sort of like a Commando but without the humor. What I wouldn't give for a fresh new one-liner though from him though!

This movie was scheduled to be released a little after September 11th but was pulled for obvious reasons. I can understand why though. I can't help but feel that this caused a lot of people to not watch it during it's theatrical release. Too bad because I think it could have done much better in the theaters had the terrorist attacks not happened. The visual and audio quality on the DVD are excellent though so those with a phat home theater system are in for a treat.

I loved the Resident Evil games for the Sony Playstation. They were scary as hell and made me drop my controller on many occasions. But a movie based on the game? Come on! How could that be good? Well, I am glad to say that I was wrong. Resident Evil is a pretty entertaining movie. The first half is pretty creepy and the second half is almost non-stop action. They kept the atmosphere pretty true to the games too. In addition, the Dolby Digital track really kicked ass. My subwoofer got a nice workout. Oh, and yes, you do get to see Milla Jovavich almost naked. In fact, if you pay attention, you can see all of her. Yay.
