I have updated the pictures for the House of Vorror 2. Definitely worth a look.

Just put up some pictures I have from my friend Millie's Birthday party.

I have pictures from this year's E3 with the Creamery boys!
Monday, May 27, 2002 10:17 PM
I put up a review of a new XBox game I just bought, Hunter: The Reckoning.

Sorry I have been slow in the updates. I have some of the Creamery boys down here for E3 and we have been keeping busy playing XBox and just being GAY. I will have pictures up as soon as Burrito and Actionball send them to me. I promise they will be as GAY as you would expect them to be.

Watched Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in a theater equipped with DLP. I gotta say that it is pretty neat. It still doesn't come to HDTV levels but it was at least as good as a well-transferred DVD. The sound did kick mucho ass though. It almost rivaled my home theater ;) Now some of you will argue with this and say that film has more resolution than DVD. Well, it does, but you have to watch a DVD on my system to understand my statement.
As for the movie, well there are enough reviews out there for you to read up on. I can say that I liked the movie. I thought it was more enjoyable than the first. And, OMG, Yoda kicked my ass. Really, he did.

I
was on the fence about watching From
Hell while it was playing at the theaters. I love Johnny Depp
but Heather Graham really annoys me. I mean, how big is her forehead?
Anyway, the movie is pretty good; it is suspenseful, somewhat gory,
and a really interesting take on the Jack the Ripper theory. Guess
who directed it? The Hughes brothers. Yes, the same ones who directed
Menace to Society hehe.
What I really want to mention about this DVD is the audio and visual quality. The visuals are very nice. The transfer on this DVD is great. However, the audio really kicks ass. I listened to the DTS soundtrack and my surrounds were very active and actually freaked Kristen out a few times. The bass is very prominent; I often felt my couch shaking. Very nice DVD.

I
went to see About
A Boy last night with my girlfriend. I pretended that I was
seeing this chick-flick for her. Deep inside, I knew it was for
me. You see, I love Hugh Grant movies. He is brilliant. He is charming.
He is good-looking. He was shagging Elizabeth Hurley. He is my God.
Notting
Hill was my favorite Hugh Grant movie. Now it is this one.
Hugh
Grant plays the part of the ultimate bachelor, Will. He is a super
pimp. He meets a goofy boy named Marcus and his life slowly begins
to change. About
A Boy is played off as a romantic comedy in the trailers, but
there is very little romance in it. What you get instead is the
story of a man and a boy, who grow up along side each other. It
was wonderful. I loved this movie so much, I feel like I am Gay.
I don't care. I loved it. Go see it.

Finally
got to watch The
Others last night. I wanted to watch this movie when it was
out in the theaters but didn't get a chance (even though it played
for over two months!) I heard good things about it and I was not
disappointed. The movie is very suspenseful and I screamed out loud
several times. In fact, I had two other couples over to watch it
and when we screamed, it sounded like a bunch of little girls in
the room. We are so pussy.

I
had a suspicion that Corky
Romano would be one stupid movie, but I had high hopes for it.
Why? Because of that one scene where Chris Kattan is dressed up
like a Girl Scout and says "Would you like to buy some cookies?"
Unfortunately, the movie really does suck balls. I did discover
that Roger Fan, a guy with which I went to Jr. High School, is in
the movie.
On another note, A Night at the Roxbury is one of my favorite movies. Laugh at me all you want, but it is frickin' hilarious. "What's up?"

I
watched Not
Another Teen Movie on the suggestion of a guy from my favorite
DVD store Laser Blazer. He said that it wasn't the greatest
movie but that there were a lot of funny scenes. Well you know what?
I laughed out loud several times.
There are so many parodies in this movie that it is hard to keep track of them all. Quite a few are clever and funny. I do have to say that this movie is very graphic...verbally. And Mia Kirshner and Jamie Pressely are so HOT!

So Star Wars: Attack of the Clones comes out this week. Am I a Star Wars fanatic? Not really. Am I a fan? Not really. I mean I liked the first three (or the last three depending on how technical you want to be about it), but I am not about standing in line to see Attack of the Clones. However, in preparation, I did watch The Phantom Menace last night.
The first two times I tried to watch it, I fell asleep during the middle of the movie. I thought it was boring and didn't like it very much. But after watching it all the way through last night, I rather enjoyed it. That little kid was annoying though and I don't know who I disliked more, him or Jar Jar Binks. Plus, did anyone notice that Yoda looked a lot like Luke Skywalker? I mean, watch the DVD and look closely at Yoda's facial features...a spitting image of Mark Hamill. HAHAHHA! Oh, and the POD race scene rocked my place with my sound setup.

Sorry guys, been a little slow with the updates. I'm just not feeling very motivated about it right now. That'll change next week. I promise.

HAHAHA! You women have no morals do you?

This
weekend, I finished up Belgarath
the Sorcerer and Polgara
the Sorceress. This completes my reading of the Belgariad and
Mallorean series. There is one more book entitled The Rivan Codex
which is sort of a "history" book of this fantasy world
but I am not THAT nerdy.
Anyhow,
I liked Belgarath
the Sorcerer better than Polgara
the Sorceress although I am glad I read both. Essentially, Belgarath
tells his version of what happened during these two series and Polgara
tells her version. I know this makes no sense to you fools, so read
the books and be enlightened.

I watched SpiderMan last night. It was awesome. Really frickin' cool. Much more comic-book style than X-Men. There were some really cool scenes in the movie and a few of them really blew me away. Yes, the CGI doesn't look realistic but it is frickin' cool. I don't think the things they had Spidey do COULD look realistic at all. I am OK with that. Furthermore, the movie is funny as hell in some parts. Sam Raimi rules. William DaFoe rules. Tobey Maguire rules. Sony Rules.
18 of us went to the Grove theater in the Mid-Wilshire area. I bought the tickets on Wednesday for the Loge section(reserved, leather seats, blah blah blah) so we wouldn't have to deal with finding seats and so forth. Of course, the morons oversold the section although they claim that it is impossible to oversell for that section since there are only 90 seats available, thus 90 tickets.
So about 20 people were unable to sit in the seats they paid for and had to sit in the very front row at the bottom of the theater, 5 of our group included. To summarize, we complained, and got full refunds for all of our tickets. So SpiderMan was free.

Okay, I'm trying out Dreamweaver MX right now. Everything seems much more organized and intuitive but let's give it a month and see how much I really like it. If funky stuff starts happening to this website, it is because of Dreamweaver MX.

Ahh...it is May already! Man, this year has really flown by! What's new? Well, I don't work 12 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays anymore. Yay! Now I work 7am to 3:30pm instead. That is much better. I would prefer to have Sundays off but I can't lose that much income. Hopefully, the weekday schedules will open up and allow me to work a couple of days during the week at the law firm. That way, I can stop working on Sundays.
On another note...go to the Funny Stuff. A new movie and several new pictures are up.
Finally,
I watched Original
Sin: The Unrated Version tonight. It was a bit slow starting
off but I guess I liked it overall. Yes, Angelina Jolie and Antonio
Banderas have explicit sex scenes. Yes, her boobies are nice. But
man, did they have to do a lot of digital editing to hide all her
tattoos. It's worth a rental but definitely not a purchase.
