DralionSorry for the lack of updates. I have actually been pretty busy with work so no time to update during the day. Furthermore, I have been playing Neverwinter Nights during the evenings and this game has been taking up a lot of my time. Things will pick up next week.

By the way, if you haven't seen Cirque de Soleil's Dralion, you need to rent it now. There is a juggler on there who is INSANE! It was also a great show, much better than Quidam. Plus, they are both in widescreen 16x9 format!

Orange CountyJack Black rules. He owns us all. High Fidelity, a lame movie made tolerable by the presence of Jack Black and his awesome comic timing. Orange County, the same thing but I enjoyed it a bit more. This is not saying that it is good though. Essentially, Colin Hanks is the main character who wants to go to Stanford, but a series of mishaps sabotage his plans. Worth a rental, if you are really bored.

Kate & LeopoldKristen loves the Hugh Jackman. I can see why. He was awesome in X-Men and darn good in Swordfish. So anyway, I see Kate & Leopold at the DVD store and all the rental copies are gone. I figure I'd surprise Kristen and just buy the DVD for her. Well, the movie is utter crap.

Kate & Leopold received many good reviews including one from Ebert. I have to stop listening to that fool. Anyhow, the movie did not make me laugh out loud once, nor did it make me care about any of the characters. In fact, I downright disliked Meg Ryan in this movie. The worst is, I paid $23 for this movie. ARGH!!

I don't have an update for today. I really don't. I know, if you look UP, you can see the DATE. Ok, that was lame. Sue me.

BlowFor all you people who say Johnny Depp can not act, you can all Blow me. I loves me the Johnny Depp. I think he is one of the finest actors of my generation. He immerses himself into every role he plays so completely, that you forget he is Johnny Depp from 21 Jump Street.

I have heard from both sides of the fence on whether or not Blow was or was not a good movie. In my opinion, YES it was. Depp plays drug dealer George Jung (who pretty much opened the gateways for cocaine in the US) and he plays this character in such a way that you feel sympathetic towards him. I don't know anything about the real George Jung, but if he is anything like the way Depp portrays him, fuck Wynona. Free George!

Was the Mothman Prophecies any good? Ultimately, no. There was some promise. It started off well, and there were a couple of parts throughout the movie that were suspenseful, but it just dragged on too long. Perhaps only worth a rental, if that.

In other news, it is pretty damn hot right now. We have been having weird weather lately in Los Angeles, some days are cold and others are hot. Right now, my balls are sweaty.

I am still recovering from from this previous weekend's Las Vegas trip. I haven't been there in about 7 years and let me just say that it is even crazier and crowded now. I can not go into more detail :)

In other world news:

After Eyes Wide Shut, I wasn't sure if I could stomach another bad Tom Cruise movie but...Vanilla Sky was great! I was totally engrossed in the movie from beginning to end. Cruise was awesome!

Vanilla Sky is a remake of Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes), directed by Alejandro Amenábar. After seeing Amenábar's wonderful The Others, I was hoping for a good story that kept you guessing the whole way through and I was not disappointed. I kept thinking about Vanilla Sky for the next several days. The last movie that made me do this was Mulholland Drive and to be honest, I liked this one much more. Definitely worth a viewing.

On the other side of the world, we have what can be considered THE WORST MOVIE EVER!

Out Cold has to be the worst snowboarding movie ever made, and I watch some shitty-ass movies so you know it has to be bad. I did NOT laugh out loud ONCE during this movie. Not even Victoria Silvstedt could save this one for me (if you don't know who Victoria Silvstedt is, you are truly GAY). In fact, I won't put up a link to this movie so you won't be buying it from my site. What happened to movies like Revenge of the Nerds? Now that is a classic. "We've got bush! We've got bush!"
